In order to see the “other side” of the island, we traveled to Ibiza during the off-season. Our primary daily activities were swimming, bicycling, walking, and beaching, and Ibiza is a great location for all of those.
Sandy beaches, secluded coves, turquoise waters, verdant mountains (little ones), bike and walking paths, and much more can be found on this Balearic island.
Are you considering taking advantage of the shoulder seasons to get some sun? We can not wait to offer our trip’s insider advice and suggestions. Continue reading if you have ever wanted to know what Ibiza is like outside of the busiest summer months.
Why Travel to Ibiza Off-Season?
Despite being the off-season, Ibiza still enjoys pleasant weather with temperatures around 17 to 24 degrees in April and the other side of summer in October. This means plenty of sunny days and blue skies, perfect for outdoor activities without the intense heat of summer.
When we wanted the airport was quiet – no long lines or crowded terminals. Once we set foot on the island, it was clear that the off-season offers a more relaxed and laid-back atmosphere compared to the bustling summer months.
With fewer tourists around, we found we didn’t need to make reservations at restaurants or plan my itinerary in advance – total flexibility and freedom to explore at our own pace. Pretty ideal for travellers like us who don’t want to book up their holiday time with by the hour plans.

What time of year is Ibiza’s off-season? The summer months of May, June, July, and August are the busiest times to visit Ibiza. The spring months of March and April and the fall months of September and October are your shoulder months. In addition to being extremely quiet, the winter months of November, December, January, and February do not always have favorable weather. The largest clubs open for business around the end of April and continue until September if you are interested in clubbing. A few clubs were open and some DJs had begun to arrive when we went in early April, but if you are there for the music, you should wait until the final weekend of April. Where Can I Stay in Ibiza During the Off-Season? We enjoyed touring the island’s various locations, from the quaint settlement of San Josep to the scenic surroundings of San Vincent. There is something for everyone in Ibiza, regardless of whether you enjoy the calm of the countryside or the lively vibe of the town. When selecting lodging, there are a few factors to take into account: There are many lovely towns and villages inland, such as San Carlos and San Gertrudis, but unless you want to rent a car, you are probably only going to want to stay somewhere like this. We would suggest Villa Norte by San Vicente, where we stayed, if you want to be near a beach but still tucked away in peaceful surroundings. It’s a 25-minute walk to the beach through fields and woodlands.
